H.E. Heraldo Muñoz, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile, will visit Turkey on 12-14 January 2016 upon the invitation of H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey to address the VIII. Ambassadors Conference.

Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Chile were established with the Treaty of Friendship signed on 30 January 1926 and we commemorate in 2016 the 90th anniversary of the establishment of our bilateral relations. In this framework, on the occasion of the visit of Foreign Minister Muñoz, an exhibition of historical documents compiled from the archives of the two countries will be inaugurated.

As part of the visit, Foreign Minister Muñoz will have bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitaş and will be received by H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey.
