In parallel with our country's increasing prestige, the realization of the multifunctional “New Turkish Center Project” is in progress in New York City, home to the United Nations Headquarters and the city where Turkish citizens reside most intensively in the USA.
In this regard, general construction contract for the New Turkish Center was signed yesterday (May 16) in New York City.
According to the Project, the current Turkish Center located right across the UN Headquarters, in the most prestigious area in New York City, will be demolished and be replaced with a 35 story skyscraper to be completed in 2021.
Besides the offices of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Turkey to the United Nations and the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in New York, the New Turkish Center will have conference and exhibition halls and an auditorium.
The New Turkish Center will help Turkish Missions in New York City to carry out their services more effectively and efficiently, to increase the quality of the service extended to our citizens and to contribute to the promotion and reputation of our country.
