No: 160, 26 May 2017, Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Afghanistan

We learned with deep sorrow that, according to initial reports, 15 soldiers were killed in the terrorist attack perpetrated on an Afghanistan National Army base in Kandahar.

We strongly condemn this terrorist attack. We once again emphasize that Turkey will continue its support to the Government of Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and in its efforts for bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan.

We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, speedy recovery to the wounded, and convey our condolences to the brotherly Government and people of Afghanistan.
