Turkey has started necessary preparations in order to meet the urgent needs of the people of Lebanon due to the tragic incident as a result of the explosion in Beirut Port on 4 August 2020.

In this regard, upon the instruction of H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, search and rescue as well as emergency medical teams will be deployed, a field hospital will be installed, and emergency humanitarian assistance, including medicines and medical materials will be sent through the Ministry of Health, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency and the Turkish Red Crescent.

We will continue to provide all necessary support to friendly and brotherly Lebanon, and hope that Lebanon, in solidarity and cooperation, would leave these difficult days behind as quickly as possible.
