We are following with concern the recent incidents of violence resulting also in the loss of lives in Sri Lanka.
We hope that the serious political and economic problems the country is facing would be resolved on the basis of social consensus and in line with the expectations of the people, and we call on all parties to act with restraint and refrain from violence in this process.
