We welcome the decision taken during the United Nations Security Council session on 1st of December, lifting the arms embargo on Somalia which has been in effect since 1992.

We wish this historic decision will usher a new era which will sow the seeds of peace, prosperity and strong hopes for the future of Somalia.

Türkiye, as always, will continue to stand by the people of Somalia and support Somalia in this new era.
