QA-23, 28 November 2025, Statement of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Öncü Keçeli, in Response to a Question Regarding Israel’s Attacks on the Town of Beit Jinn on the Outskirts of Damascus

Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 28.11.2025

As we approach the anniversary of 8 December, when the Syrian people gained their freedom, and at a time when the international community stands in support of Syria's stability, Israel has once again demonstrated that it is pursuing a destructive agenda with its attacks on the town of Beit Jinn on the outskirts of Damascus.

Israel violates Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and poses a threat to the civilian population and regional stability through its military activities and operations despite facing no threat emanating from Syria.

Israel's attacks, which aim to obstruct the efforts of the Government of Syria and its people to establish security, prosperity and social cohesion in the country, must be brought to an end immediately. It is incumbent upon all responsible members of the international community to take action to this end.
